The Original Genie TV Drama ‘Precious My Star’ (Directed by Choi Young-hoon, Script by Park Ji-ha, Planned by KT Studio Genie, Produced by Jumbo Film), which will be first released on the 18th (Monday) at 10 PM, is a tear-jerking, comedic romantic comedy that unfolds when Korea’s top star becomes an ordinary middle-aged woman overnight.

Ten days before the first broadcast, Director Choi Young-hoon and Writer Park Ji-ha addressed curiosity by answering questions themselves.
Firstly, defining the entire work’s keyword as a ‘Christmas Gift,’ Director Choi Young-hoon shared, “The narrative is captivating. The comedy and romance unfolding at moments of despair were kind and warm.
It felt like the happy energy possessed by a ‘Christmas gift’ that provides warm consolation in harsh winter,” revealing why he took on the directorial role. He continued, “It’s a drama like a comprehensive gift set with various elements of fun, from humorous laughter and thrilling action to mystery.”

Writer Park Ji-ha revealed, “Since my previous work was a fantasy genre, I wanted to tell a realistic story and thought it was the right work to decorate the finale of the women’s narrative that continued from ‘Good Casting’.”
“Above all, the setting where a top star, who once dominated an era, becomes jobless overnight is the key point,” emphasized Writer Park Ji-ha, “25 years is time sufficient for many things to change. The world changes, a person’s life could collapse or succeed and rise in status. In the middle of that, witnessing the comeback story of a top star who lost 25 years in total becomes another charm of this work,” she explained.
Unexpectedly entangled in an event, Bong Cheong-ja becomes ‘just a citizen’ from the ‘nation’s goddess’ overnight, while Dokgo Chul, demoted, embarks on a romance with ‘Suspended Top Star’ and acts as a ‘Disguised Manager,’ making this romance undoubtedly the highlight of the viewing points.
