[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Han Kyung-hee = There is a possibility that the pet owner who disappeared after leaving their dog 2 years and 8 months ago provided a ‘false address’ in the contract. A shocking true story that a married woman was acting as ‘wife for hire’ for VIPs and receiving sponsorship was also revealed.
On the Channel A show ‘Detectives’ Business Secrets’ aired on the 24th, the first-ever client dog appeared. Poodle Bori (alias) was left at the training center in February 2023 to improve biting issues and has been waiting for its owner for 2 years and 8 months.
Initially, the owner showed meticulous care and affection for the dog’s well-being, but from July 2024, the training fees were defaulted, reaching over 10 million won. Worse yet, contact was lost from December of the same year, prompting the agency to warn of legal action.
However, a center official who requested assistance stated, “The best thing for the dog is to return to its original owner,” and explained that thinking of Bori, they couldn’t proceed with actual legal measures.
Considering the possibility of not taking Bori due to unpaid training fees, they conveyed surprise by saying, “There is thought not to collect unpaid fees.”
Despite continued contact and final ultimatum from the center, Bori’s owner sent ominous messages such as “the brink of death,” heightening concerns about personal safety.
However, the client accused, “Avoided contact by claiming illness while constantly changing profile pictures,” suggesting deliberate evasion.
In response, the detective team visited the address from the contract written by the owner when Bori was entrusted. Another person was living there, and the homeowner replied, “This person never lived here. First time seeing them,” causing shock.
With unanswered questions lingering, the truth about Bori’s elusive protector will be revealed in next week’s ‘Detectives’ Business Secrets’.
Meanwhile, in ‘Case Notebook’ where ’19+ Talk First’ Jung Mi-nyeo joined as a guest detective, a man came to the detective team saying, “No marital relations for six months, but wife seems pregnant.” He overheard his wife saying on the phone, “I haven’t had my period for two months,” to an acquaintance.
Investigation by the detective team found the client’s wife was infected with an STD, not pregnant. Though the client was convinced of infidelity, a specialist explained that the HPV virus can be contracted through other means beyond recent sexual contact, seemingly resolving the case.
Shortly after, the client’s suspicion about his wife’s mysterious conduct led him back to the detective team. Tracing her travel, the team caught her dressed up head-to-toe at a shop in Cheongdam-dong, calling a middle-aged man “Honey” and entering his home, leaving them shocked.
It turned out the client’s wife was being sponsored as a ‘wife for hire’ to five men including presidents of franchise companies, IT venture CEOs, and law firm representatives. She was indulging in what was called ‘VIP play’, frequenting department store luxury sections, first-class flights, and Michelin restaurants.
After all the facts were revealed, the client and his wife eventually divorced. The unprecedented story left the studio in shock. Defconn exclaimed, “It’s like the devil’s going wild,” while Kim Poong remarked, “An event exposing the ugly nature of humanity,” with a bitter tone.
Guest detective Jung Mi-nyeo added a unique insight by saying, “I must be doing well with my husband now. I am a remarkable wife,” causing laughter by stating, “Jeon Min-gi married well.”
