Today (4th) at 5 PM, the first two episodes of Netflix’s new variety show ‘Wardrobe Wars’ will be simultaneously released. The show is a custom styling competition program where siblings Jae-hyung Jung and Na-young Kim, who know how to dress well, raid the closets of celebrities who want to escape being fashion amateurs and tackle styling challenges.
The exploration of clients’ wardrobes, who pride themselves on their firm fashion philosophies, and the trendy fashion solutions of ‘entertainment industry’s representative fashionistas’ Jae-hyung Jung and Na-young Kim, are drawing expectations. Episode 1 features Sunwoo Yongyeo, enjoying a second phase of fame as the ‘oldest YouTuber’, and episode 2 features KCM, known as an ‘icon of the fashion disaster world,’ requesting fashion revitalization.
Among them, Sunwoo Yongyeo fully reveals her closet, loaded with luxury items like an iconic luxury bag, a 20-year-old Italian skirt and jacket, etc. She candidly reveals her luxurious journey by stating “the first brand I got to know was Ar****ni” and humorously certifies her extraordinary ‘love for outlets’ by saying, “I bought all these from outlets”.
Also, Jae-hyung Jung and Na-young Kim are shocked by the packed wardrobe, asking, “Were you a shopaholic, teacher?” Sunwoo Yongyeo responds, “I buy them for work. I’ve never hired a stylist in my life. I tailor clothes myself with a sewing machine and hand stitching,” further surprising everyone.
Moreover, with the display of colorful and luxurious clothes, she states, “It’s because I often play the role of a madam. I’ve never played a rough role. I wanted to try such roles but never got the chance,” inducing laughter with her grumpy expression.
On the other hand, KCM, dressed in his signature sleeveless outfit with arm sleeves, greets the two MCs with humor. He reveals his off-season physique by saying, “Half fat, half muscle” and explains the reason for wearing sleeveless as “no ready-made clothes fit because of my thick arms,” surprising everyone.
Also known as an ‘avid fisherman’, KCM surprises Jae-hyung Jung and Na-young Kim with his ‘modest wardrobe’ contrasting with his room full of fishing gear.
Momentarily, Jae-hyung Jung and Na-young Kim try on fishing outfits worth about 2 million won, remarking, “The fishing outfit is so pretty. It looks like Balenc***a”, catching their eyes, and they burst into laughter when KCM jokingly comments, “Is this a program where guests dress you?”.
