(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Boram Oh = An immersive exhibition where you can experience the world in director Giuseppe Tornatore’s film ‘Cinema Paradiso’ will be held.
Exhibition planning company Soop International announced on the 10th that it will present ‘Cinema Paradiso Immersive Special Exhibition-TO.TOTO’ at Galleria Fore in Seongdong-gu, Seoul from the 20th to March 30th next year.
This exhibition digitally recreates a cinema in Sicily, the setting of the movie, along with wheat fields, squares, and more.
A ‘Music Room’ has been set up to enjoy the original soundtrack (OST) composed by music director Ennio Morricone in spatial sound.

This exhibition was co-planned by Soop International and Cross Media Group, a specialist in immersive exhibition production from Italy, to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Italy. It is expected to open in Italy after going through Southeast Asia.
Released in 1990, ‘Cinema Paradiso’ is a story about a young boy, Toto, who loves cinema, growing up with the friendship of a projectionist, Alfredo. It swept the Jury Grand Prize at the 42nd Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 62nd Academy Awards, among others, and continues to be loved through repeated re-releases.
