[ Asia Economy ] It was announced by CJ ENM on the 18th that actor Chow Yun-fat and Tomorrow X Together’s Yeonjun will be performing at the popular music award ceremony ‘2025 MAMA Awards’.
Chow Yun-fat is set to appear as a global presenter on the second day of the ‘MAMA Awards’, which will be held at the Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium on the 29th. Prior to that, on the first day, the 28th, actress Michelle Yeoh has been confirmed to attend as a presenter.
Chow Yun-fat has been loved for his unique charisma and human charm through various works, including ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ (2000) and ‘A Better Tomorrow’ (1987), which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
CJ ENM stated, “The participation of Chow Yun-fat and Michelle Yeoh, who are symbolic figures in Asian culture and beloved worldwide, is expected to be a special interaction that transcends the boundaries of K-pop and K-content genres.”
Tomorrow X Together’s Yeonjun will unveil the stages for ‘Talk to You’ and ‘Coma’ for the first time. Yeonjun recently entered the top 10 on the US Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ with his solo album released 6 years and 8 months after debut. Last year, he showcased an opening theme stage featuring a robot dog.
This year, 27 presenters including Go Yoon-jung, Noh Sang-hyun, Noh Yoon-seo, Park Hyung-sik, Shin Seung-hoon, Shin Ye-eun, Shin Hyun-ji, Arden Cho, Ahn Eun-jin, Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Do-hyun, Lee Soo-hyuk, Lee Jun-young, Lee Jun-hyuk, Im Si-wan, Jang Do-yeon, Jeon Yeo-bin, Jo Se-ho, Jo Yuri, Jo Han-gyeol, Joo Ji-hoon, Cha Joo-young, Choi Dae-hoon, Hyeri, among others, will be taking the stage.
The ceremony will be broadcast on Mnet Plus and others.
