Some fans suffered damage due to misdialing during the promotional event for the new album of ASTRO member Cha Eun-woo (27), who is serving in the Army band. His agency, Fantagio, issued an official apology for this.
Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the Army band last July and is currently fulfilling his military duty. He continues to communicate with fans through various content produced before his enlistment, and he recently held ARS VOICE #1 event to commemorate the release of his second mini-album, ‘ELSE’.
This event involves calling a designated number to hear a recorded message from Cha Eun-woo. In the call, he says, “Hello? It’s Eun-woo. How have you been?” and then leaves a message, “How’s my album? I’ll call again next week. Make sure to eat well and think of me a lot. I miss you.”
The issue arose because some fans misdialed the number. Fantagio said on their official SNS on the 5th that “It has been confirmed that some users have connected to the wrong place by dialing incorrectly,” and asked to “Please use the correct number.”
The agency continued, “We sincerely apologize to those who experienced inconvenience due to this,” and stated, “We will ensure that such issues do not occur again in the future.”
While Cha Eun-woo’s unique communication method and love for his fans continue during his military service, the agency repeatedly emphasized to be cautious when dialing the number.
