[ Asia Economy ] The group BTS has set another record on the music platform Spotify.
According to HYBE Label Big Hit Music on the 2nd, the song ‘My Universe’ collaborated by BTS and Coldplay surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify as of August 31. This is the second time for a BTS group song, following ‘Dynamite’.
Released in September 2021, ‘My Universe’ is a track from Coldplay’s 9th album ‘Music Of The Spheres’, and both groups participated in writing and composing. Immediately after its release, it went straight to number 1 on the U.S. Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100’, becoming BTS’s 6th ‘Hot 100’ number 1 song. It ranked 3rd on the UK Official Singles Top 100.
BTS achieved 2 billion streams on Spotify with ‘Dynamite’, and songs like ‘Butter’, ‘Boy With Luv’, and ‘Fake Love’ have been streamed over 1 billion times, maintaining consistent popularity.
