The solo song of BTS’s Jin has entered the U.S. Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100’.
According to the chart preview posted on Billboard’s official SNS on the 26th (Korean time), Jin’s solo album ‘Happy’ title track ‘Running Wild’ ranked 53rd on Billboard ‘Hot 100’ (November 30th). This marks Jin’s second entry on the ‘Hot 100’ chart with a solo song.
His first solo single ‘The Astronaut’ (ranked 51st) in 2022 was the first to make it onto this chart.
With this, Jin has marked his successful comeback by showing prominence on both of Billboard’s main charts.
Prior to this, the album ‘Happy’ containing ‘Running Wild’ had been teased to enter the ‘Billboard 200’ latest chart at 4th place. Considering the end-of-year season when the Carol genre starts gaining strength, Jin’s sustained popularity is notable.
‘Running Wild’ also ranked high on Billboard’s major song charts such as ‘Global (excluding the US)’ (4th) and ‘Global 200’ (5th).
Meanwhile, ‘Running Wild’, released on the 15th, is a pop rock genre based on British rock with an impressive new wave sound.
It contains Jin’s bright and warm message about running breathlessly towards hope. Immediately after its release, it marked a ‘career high’ for Jin as a solo artist on the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Song Global’ (8th) and ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ (10th), as well as the UK Official Singles Chart (25th).
Meanwhile, Jin will release the new song ‘Until I Reach You (feat. Taka)’ at 2 PM today. This song features vocals by Taka from the Japanese band ‘ONE OK ROCK’, who participated in the work on the album’s eponymous track. Jin’s charming voice combined with Taka’s powerful vocals allows listeners to feel the deepened emotions of love in a unique way.
