BTS’s Jimin wins ‘Best K-Pop’ at the ‘2024 MTV EMA’.

[Star Daily News=Reporter Cheon Seolhwa] BTS Jimin won the ‘Best K-Pop’ award at Europe’s largest pop music awards ceremony, the ‘MTV Europe Music Awards.’

On the 10th (local time), the ‘2024 MTV Europe Music Awards’ (hereinafter ‘MTV EMA’) selected Jimin as the winner of this year’s ‘Best K-Pop’. Following Jungkook, who was named the winner of the ‘Best K-Pop’ award last year, a member of BTS took home the trophy in this category for two consecutive years.

Jimin’s second solo album ‘MUSE’ and its title track ‘Who’, released in July this year, continue to receive great love on various global charts nearly four months since their release. This popularity seems to have influenced the ‘MTV EMA’ win.  ‘MUSE’ and ‘Who’ have been charting for 15 consecutive weeks on the ‘Billboard 200’ and ‘Hot 100’ in the United States. They have also remained on the UK Official Charts for 16 weeks, showcasing worldwide popularity. ‘Who’ is still holding onto the ‘Top 5’ at 4th place on Spotify’s latest ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ (calculation period: November 1-7).

Meanwhile, Jimin will showcase an exhibition encompassing activities from his first solo album ‘FACE’ and second solo album ‘MUSE’ on November 29 in Los Angeles, USA, and January 10 next year in Tokyo, Japan. Jin will release his first solo album ‘Happy’ on the 15th at 2 PM.
