In the 71st episode of TV Chosun’s variety show ‘Lover of Joseon’ aired on the 17th, Kim Tae-won visited a US visa specialist law office.
He had to attend his daughter’s wedding in the US, but his US visa was denied.
During a consultation with a lawyer, Kim Tae-won said, “I applied for a performance visa last March and it was denied,” also revealing that subsequent ESTA applications were not approved. ESTA is a visa-free entry system for those visiting the US for short stays.

Kim Tae-won asked if his past marijuana smoking record was a reason for visa denial. Kim Tae-won served sentences for marijuana smoking in 1987 and 1991.
