There are reactions that the ticket price for the group Blackpink’s world tour concert is expensive.

On the 8th, YG Entertainment released the ticket reservation schedule for the group Blackpink’s ‘BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR’ concert.

Ticket prices start at 275,000 KRW for BLINK seats, 242,000 KRW for BLACK seats, 209,000 KRW for PINK seats, 209,000 KRW for R seats, 176,000 KRW for S seats, 154,000 KRW for A seats, and 132,000 KRW for B seats.

Reactions in online communities indicated that ticket prices were too expensive once the reservation schedule was announced.

Netizens expressed opinions such as “300,000 KRW is just around the corner. I can no longer see concerts”, “275,000 KRW in Goyang is too expensive. Even in Seoul, this price doesn’t make sense”, and “If it starts at 8 p.m., how many hours do they plan to hold it?”.

In particular, Blackpink had already received criticism for setting the price of the ‘Platinum Pink Seat’, a VIP seat, at 264,000 KRW during their domestic concert held in 2022.

Concerns over ‘ticketflation’ (a combination of ticket and inflation) continue. There are warnings that if the price of a concert ticket rises, other singers and idols might follow suit, causing overall ticket prices in the concert industry to increase.

Of course, there are some understandable aspects regarding the increase in ticket prices. For high-priced seats like VIPs, the ticket might include options such as a sound check where fans can watch rehearsal processes or a meet and greet with the artist before or after the concert.

Additionally, the concert industry insists that the increase in venue rental fees, stage production costs, labor costs due to inflation cannot be ignored when setting ticket prices.
