[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Han Kyung-hee = Singer Lee Bo-ram delivered emotion with 2000s sentiment and vocal skills.

On the JTBC ‘Begin Again Open Mic’ (hereinafter ‘Begin Again’) broadcasted on the 30th of last month, Lee Bo-ram appeared and held a memory trip busking in Gyeongju.

On this day, Lee Bo-ram sang The Cross’s ‘For You.’ She drew attention with the 2000s rock ballad sentiment and perfect immersion. Lee Bo-ram’s charm stood out as she reinterpreted the grandeur of the original song in her own style, showcasing her full vocal prowess.

Unlike the original orchestral performance, Lee Bo-ram crafted the stage with just guitar, keyboard, and her voice, stating, “I originally wanted to do rock ballad,” and soon announced her solo concert after 6 years, adding, “I would appreciate it if many would come. I will sing hard.”

Lee Bo-ram expressed her feelings, saying, “‘Begin Again’ is truly a dream program for singers. It was an honor to appear again. I was very nervous but with your warm gaze, I was able to sing even harder.”

Alongside this, on the official ‘Begin Again’ YouTube channel, more live stage videos of Lee Bo-ram, not revealed on the broadcast, were uploaded, garnering attention. Lee Bo-ram presented a duet with Hwang Ga-ram on Lim Jae-bum and Park Jung-hyun’s ‘Scars Deeper than Love.’

Before the stage, Lee Bo-ram asked the audience, “Do you anticipate any songs?” actively communicating with the audience and showing a friendly side.

Through the following ‘Scars Deeper than Love’ stage, Lee Bo-ram showcased a perfect harmony. Despite the high difficulty of the song, Lee Bo-ram highlighted the song’s atmosphere with exceptional emotion, engaging the audience with 2000s sentiment and delivering a moving performance.

Especially, despite meeting Hwang Ga-ram for the first time in the duet pre-rehearsal, Lee Bo-ram demonstrated perfect synchronization, proving her skilled prowess.

Following this, Lee Bo-ram selected Naul’s ‘Memory of the Wind.’ She sang the extremely challenging original song three keys higher, evoking admiration with stable vocal skills. After her stage, DK commented, “It felt as if time had slightly stopped, and I was listening to a message,” expressing his emotion.

Having perfectly handled the extremely challenging original song, Lee Bo-ram surprised everyone by saying, “I only raised it by three keys.” She added, “While doing the version with 4 keys up, I thought it would be better to convey the emotions more, so I lowered one,” demonstrating her exceptional vocal ability and song adaptability.

Meanwhile, Lee Bo-ram recently released ‘For You’ as part of the ‘Memory Addition Project’ and conveyed deep resonance with her unique emotional style.

Additionally, on December 6th and 7th, she is scheduled to hold a solo concert ‘Still Singing’ at Seoul Sungshin Women’s University Unjeong Green Campus Grand Auditorium to meet her fans.
