Bada (Choi Sung-hee), who was a member of the three-member female group S.E.S. that rocked the music world in the late 90s, revealed her thoughts on the group’s reunion.

On the Channel A entertainment show ‘Close Friend Documentary Four-Person Dining Table’ aired on the 20th, Bada invited her old S.E.S. colleague Eugene (Kim Yoo-jin) and group Fly to the Sky’s Brian (Joo Min-kyu) for a conversation. Broadcaster Park Kyung-lim also attended.

On this day, Park Kyung-lim started by saying, “S.E.S. is soon to celebrate its 30th debut anniversary” and then asked, “Recently, other groups like H.O.T. and god have reunited for performances. Does S.E.S. have any such plans?”

Bada thought for a moment and then said, “There are no immediate plans,” as she started talking about team colleague Shoo (Yoo Soo-young).

She said, “We are in a state of waiting until Shoo feels comfortable,” and added, “We’re waiting for the time when everything becomes natural, including for the fans watching.” Eugene also nodded in agreement.

Shoo was put on trial in 2018 for habitual gambling charges and was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year probation in the following year. At that time, prosecutors indicted Shoo for gambling approximately 790 million won in places like Macau from August 2016 for over two years.

Shoo, who accepted all the prosecution’s charges during the trial, said after the sentencing, “At first, I started out of curiosity, but I was horrified and angry with how I changed over time, and I was ashamed,” and added, “I’m sorry. I will not forget this and live well from now on.” Due to this incident, S.E.S.’s complete group activities have been indefinitely postponed.

S.E.S., who debuted as a first-generation idol group from SM Entertainment in 1997, left numerous hit songs such as ‘(’Cause) I’m Your Girl’ (1997), ‘Dreams Come True’ (1998), ‘I Love You’ (1998), and ‘In Hug’ (2000) before disbanding in 2002. The members were Bada, Eugene, and Shoo.
