FIFTY FIFTY’s Athena ranked first in the DC Trend K-POP Female Solo Singer popularity vote on May 13th.
Despite being a rookie idol, she quickly rose to the top with mature stage manners and a unique atmosphere capturing the public’s attention.
Fans cheered for Athena’s diverse charms by calling her the “lovely fledgling baby”. Athena, who joined FIFTY FIFTY in September 2024 as a new member, is a dual citizen born and raised in Sweden who was noted for her exceptional Korean language skills and musicality even during her trainee days.
Although her training period was only 7 months, she quickly stood out in monthly evaluations, leading to her debut. In particular, in recently released content, Athena is expanding her global fandom with stable live performances and a dreamy atmosphere befitting a poker face.
In second place is BoA, an icon of 2nd generation K-pop. Within the fan messages saying “Let’s be together this year too”, she still receives strong support and is demonstrating her unchanged presence through collaborations and performances with junior idols recently.

In third place is aespa’s Karina, who proved her steady fan base with 499 votes. In fourth place is FIFTY FIFTY Moon Chanel (440 votes), and in fifth place is Hana, armed with solid skills (421 votes).
Places 6 to 10 were taken by Taeyeon, IU, Kim Wan-sun, An Yu-jin, and Ok Joo-hyun, respectively.
This vote, which showed harmony between rookies and legends, reflects how various solo artists are communicating with fans in the changing K-pop market. Particularly, the rapid rise of rookies like Athena, who gain attention early in their debut, hints at a new trend in the music industry.
This vote will be conducted until May 18th, with the final weekly vote results to be announced on the DC Trend website on May 19th. Intense support from fans is expected to continue amid the fierce rank competition.
