Actor Hwang In-yeop expressed his admiration for Kim Hye-eun’s acting in ‘Modular Family,’ where they played a mother-son duo. An interview was held with actor Hwang In-yeop, who starred in JTBC’s Wednesday drama ‘Modular Family,’ at a café in Gangnam, Seoul on the 28th. Hwang In-yeop stated about Kim Hye-eun, who appears as the mother, “I watched with admiration for the senior’s acting.”
“The senior really poured everything into her acting,” he said, and added, “Though I may lack much, I felt the pressure to show something just as good as she does.” Kim Hye-eun plays the role of Kwon Jung-hee, the villain and mother of Kim San-ha (Hwang In-yeop) in the drama.
Kwon Jung-hee is a bad mother who shifts the responsibility of losing her daughter in an accident to her son San-ha to avoid guilt.
She also received reactions as a ‘rage-inducing’ character due to her realistic acting.
Regarding this, Hwang In-yeop said, “There might be comments that could hurt the senior, but in reality, she’s a kind and close person,” adding, “She even invited me to her home to rehearse lines together.”
He conveyed, “When watching the final episode, as I hugged the senior, we talked about how it would be nice to meet again in roles where we smile together.” JTBC’s Wednesday drama ‘Modular Family’ depicts the romance of three youths, Yoon Ju-won (Jung Chae-yeon), Kim San-ha (Hwang In-yeop), and Kang Hae-joon (Bae Hyun-sung), who spent 10 years as family and 10 years longing as strangers.
