[Asia Economy] Actor Jinyoung attended the 62nd Golden Horse Film Festival on the 17th with the Taiwanese original film ‘1977, The Year of That Photo’, according to Management Run on the 18th.
The Golden Horse Film Festival is considered the most prestigious award ceremony in the Chinese-speaking region. Jinyoung held a Q&A session with the audience at the festival, marking his first appearance in the Chinese-speaking market.
‘1977, The Year of That Photo’ is a romance period drama set in Zhongli, Taiwan in 1977, a time of coexistence of chaos and hope. It tells the story of three young individuals pursuing their dreams, with themes of friendship, love, and hope that transcend nationality. Jinyoung played the role of Kim Hok-hee, a Taekwondo coach who moves to Taiwan overcoming his pains, and acted alongside Taiwan’s rising star Lee Mok.
In addition, Jinyoung signed an advertising contract for the K-beauty brand Choshu in the Taiwan region and adorned the December edition of a global Taiwanese magazine with a solo pictorial.
