A2O held a media launch event in May in China… Their new song ‘B.B.B’ not only succeeded in America but also reached the top of the QQ Music main chart in China!

A2O MAY(CHENYU, SHIJIE, QUCHANG, MICHE, KAT) successfully held the media launch event for their single ‘B.B.B (Bigger Badder Better) [feat. A2O LTG]’ on the afternoon of the 18th (local time) in Beijing, China.

This event was the first official China media exchange meeting conducted by A2O MAY since their debut.

Representatives from major platforms like Weibo, Douyin (Chinese TikTok), Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, along with 40 influential local media outlets, newspaper and online media, music and entertainment critics, fashion magazines, and fan club ‘MAYnia’ members attended the event.

On this day, A2O MAY introduced their new song ‘B.B.B’ as well as each member’s unique personality and character.

They especially revealed the stage version video of ‘B.B.B’ for the first time and showcased a special collaboration with popular dance creator ‘苏司喵(Su Si Miao)’ who has 1.1 million followers on Bilibili, drawing keen attention from local media and fans.

Additionally, the members shared various behind-the-scenes stories and led an enjoyable time through a 9-grid Q&A session with keywords related to ‘B.B.B’ and A2O MAY, and a game guessing lyrics through gestures.

Alongside this, A2O MAY also unveiled their global activity plans. A2O MAY is set to perform at the ‘TMEA (Tencent Music Entertainment Awards)’, a representative music award ceremony in Greater China, on the 24th.

A2O MAY announced their plan to release their first EP in October and attend A2O Entertainment’s ‘A2O SHOW’.

Moreover, hinting at worldwide promotions including the United States, A2O MAY’s global expansive activities are highly anticipated.

A2O MAY members said, “We were very nervous but excited as it was our first meeting with Chinese media.

We were happy to share A2O MAY’s behind-the-scenes stories and thoughts through this opportunity” and concluded the media conference.

Meanwhile, ‘B.B.B’, released in Chinese on the 13th and globally on the 15th, is performing well by climbing to the top positions on major charts of China’s biggest music platform QQ Music.

‘B.B.B’ reached second on QQ Music’s new song chart (新歌榜) and tenth on the main chart, the hot song chart (热歌榜), and ranked fifth on QQ Music’s and Weibo’s jointly presented chart called the Trend Chart (巅峰潮流榜) and second on the Popularity Index Chart (流行指数榜), showcasing A2O MAY’s local music power and high topicality.

Previously, A2O MAY made their mark on the Mediabase TOP 40 of US mainstream radio charts for five consecutive weeks with their second single ‘BOSS’, setting a record as the first group with Chinese members and the highest ranking as Chinese female artists.

After achieving significant results in China following the United States, attention is drawn to their future activities.

‘B.B.B’ is receiving positive reviews as a song in the Zalpha Pop genre, which is A2O MAY’s unique musical identity.

A2O Entertainment’s rookies unit, A2O LTG (Low Teen Girls), supported the song with a feature and a special appearance in the music video, showing fresh synergy with A2O MAY.
