A retrospective of Director Park Chan-wook will be held in LA.

[ Asia Economy ] CJ ENM announced on the 6th that the retrospective of director Park Chan-wook will be held at the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles (LA), USA.

Founded in 1984, American Cinematheque is a non-profit film organization that covers classic, art, and diverse films extensively. It has consistently hosted retrospectives and film festivals highlighting the major works of directors from various countries.

This upcoming retrospective, running from the 16th to December 6th, will showcase Park’s notable works including the recently released film ‘No Choice’, as well as ‘Joint Security Area JSA’ (2000), ‘Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance’ (2002), ‘Oldboy’ (2003), ‘Lady Vengeance’ (2005), and ‘The Handmaiden’ (2016).

Director Park and actor Lee Byung-hun are scheduled to attend the screenings of ‘No Choice’ on the 16th and ‘Joint Security Area JSA’ on December 6th to meet with the audience.

Meanwhile, ‘No Choice’ is a film that depicts the story of Mansoo (Lee Byung-hun), a company employee content with his life, who gets laid off and enters the battle of re-employment to protect his family and home.
