Actor Sunwoo Eunsook’s older sister was allegedly sexually assaulted, and Yoo Youngjae was sentenced to imprisonment.
On the 23rd, at the Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch Division 1 Criminal Division (Chief Judge Heo Yong-gyu), Yoo Youngjae, charged with violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and “expected to flee,” leading to immediate court custody.
Furthermore, he was ordered to complete 40 hours of sexual violence treatment programs and was banned from working in facilities related to children, adolescents, and disabled people for 5 years. Yoo Youngjae is accused of forcibly molesting A, the older sister of Sunwoo Eunsook, by touching her body on five occasions from March to October 2023.
Yoo Youngjae and Sunwoo Eunsook registered their marriage in October 2022 but divorced last year in April. The prosecution had sought a five-year sentence.

The court judged A’s testimony to be highly credible.
The court stated that the crime’s nature was severe considering the relationship with the victim, offense circumstances, content, and method, adding that the defendant had not been forgiven by the victim and had shown no genuine remorse as he denied all allegations.
