HYBE Latin Localization Group Debuts in Second Half…YG and Starship Plan New Groups

According to the K-pop industry on the 14th, major agencies like JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and HYBE are unveiling rookie idols set to debut this year one after another.
The first team to make their debut is JYP Entertainment’s 7-member boy group Kickflip.
They will release their debut mini-album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ on the 20th to start their official activities.
Kickflip consists of 5 Korean and 2 Japanese members, with Gehoon and others having gained recognition through the SBS audition program ‘Loud’ aired in 2021.
Recently, they were selected by Grammy.com as one of the ‘8 K-pop Rookies to Watch in 2025’, hinting at their promising activity. The pre-released ‘Yeah, Okay’ music video ranked third in YouTube trending videos, gaining attention.
An agency spokesperson explained, “All seven members have lively musical characters” and “they hope to lead a new trend in K-pop with their free-spirited concept transmitting positive energy.”

SM Entertainment will introduce the 8-member new girl group Hearts to Hearts on the 24th of next month.
This is the first girl group SM is debuting in about 5 years since Aespa in 2020.
The team’s name signifies their intention to connect hearts with global fans through their mystical music world and grow as a bigger ‘us’.
A teaser video announcing their debut was released during the SM 30th-anniversary concert held at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome the previous day.
The agency announced, “Based on SM’s unique cultural heritage and strong planning capabilities accumulated over a long time, we will showcase differentiated colors in various fields such as music, performance, and visuals.”

CEO Leesa Jang recently stated in a New Year’s speech that a Latin localized artist will debut through an audition program in the second half of the year.
