On December 6th (Saturday), JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Waiting for Kyung-do’ (written by Yoo Young-ah/ directed by Lim Hyun-wook/ produced by SLL, Ian, Glemo) will premiere. Actors Park Seo-joon and Won Ji-an, who play Lee Kyung-do and Seo Ji-woo respectively, are confessing their relationship keywords and acting synergy, increasing anticipation for their chemistry.
Firstly, Park Seo-joon, who plays Lee Kyung-do, defines the relationship between Kyung-do (played by Park Seo-joon) and Ji-woo (played by Won Ji-an), who remain affectionate despite two separations, using the keyword “love”. He added, “Time may pass and various situations may change the form of love, but you can still see it in Kyung-do and Ji-woo.”
He explained that their relationship is difficult to talk about without the emotion of love.
Won Ji-an, who plays Seo Ji-woo, described the dynamic between Kyung-do and Ji-woo, who are drawn to each other even after a long time, with the word “magnet”. She explained that such a relationship exists because of an irresistible attraction between them.
As such, the story of Kyung-do and Ji-woo, who are drawn to each other like a “magnet” and experience all emotions of “love”, becomes even more intriguing. In addition, attention is focused on the chemistry between Park Seo-joon and Won Ji-an who will portray the romance of these two who stick to each other despite the passage of time.
Park Seo-joon recalled, “From the casting stage, I was curious and had high expectations about who would play Ji-woo, and when I first met Won Ji-an, she perfectly embodied the Ji-woo I had imagined, which gave me more confidence in the project,” raising interest.
He also added, “Since ‘Waiting for Kyung-do’ has many emotional scenes, we filmed while trusting and relying on each other.”
Won Ji-an shared, “On set, I often discussed with the director and senior Park Seo-joon about how to bring the scenes to life. There were times when I felt emotionally and physically strained due to the intense and prolonged storytelling, but I remember how senior Park took good care of me,” revealing behind-the-scenes stories from the shoot.
Furthermore, she expressed her sincere gratitude towards Park Seo-joon, saying, “Until the end of filming, he helped us not to miss the subtle details and was very considerate, allowing me to learn a lot.”
Due to the warm filming atmosphere and the strong trust and affection between the two actors, there is anticipation for the ‘Waiting for Kyung-do’ drama they will create together.
