SBS announced that the new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Space Marry Me’ will premiere on October 10th. Directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyuk, and written by Lee Hana, this series is co-produced by Samhwa Networks and StudioS.

The drama unfolds the story of a man and a woman who engage in a pretend marital life for 90 days to win a luxury newlywed home prize. Choi Woo-shik will play the role of Kim Woo-joo, and Jung So-min will play Yoo Merry, showcasing their proven acting skills in the romantic comedy genre.

In the second teaser trailer released on the 18th, the contrasting characters of the two protagonists were highlighted. Woo-joo, set as ‘Myung Soon-dang 4th generation’ and ‘hexagon multi-talented’, reveals his perfectionist side with a straightforward manner and expressionless appearance. He shows individualistic tendencies by saying, “I usually don’t care about other people’s business,” and keeps a distance from Merry by saying, “Whenever you speak, it reeks of alcohol.”

On the other hand, Merry, who is the ‘one-person army representative’, exudes a lovely and bold charm. Despite putting on a business smile for her employee, she reacts fiercely upon discovering her fiancé’s infidelity, portraying a character rich in emotional expression. Even while shedding tears, she makes a heart with her hands, completing a dynamic character with various facial expressions.

Particular attention is being drawn to the changes that occur as the two characters of extreme personalities become a pretend couple. At the end of the teaser video, a scene appears as if they are about to kiss, along with the line “Destiny is always near,” foreshadowing a romantic development.

‘Space Marry Me’ is scheduled to air every Friday at 9:50 PM.
