[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Seo-yeon Jung = JTBC’s ‘A Hundred Memories’ has unveiled the first love poster of Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-jun. The image, resembling an old film photo that evokes a dazzling and glorious excitement from that time, catches the eye.

Premiering on September 13th, JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘A Hundred Memories’ (written by Yang Hee-seung and Kim Bo-ram, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by SLL) is a newtro youth melo-drama set in the 1980s, depicting the shining friendship between Yeong-rae, a bus guide on the 100th route, and Jong-hee, and the heartfelt first love surrounding Jae-pil, a fateful man between the two friends.

The poster revealed today (28th) conveys the emotions of first love amidst the bright smiles of Go Yeong-rae (Kim Da-mi), Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun), and Han Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun), summoning fluffy memories that everyone has had at some point.

Thus, capturing a time that goes beyond an era’s scenery, it evokes nostalgia for that period that is all the more desperately yearned for because it cannot be returned to.

However, it’s important to note that the emotional arrows of the three young people from the ’80s are intertwined. This is because the emotions towards Jae-pil overlap within the strong friendship between Yeong-rae and Jong-hee. Relationships intertwined as friends and first loves leave behind both conflicts and pains, along with laughter and excitement.

It was painful between friendship and love, and perhaps that’s why it is more like “the radiant you, me, and us of that time.”

This poster captures the intersecting feelings within those sparkling moments and heralds a youth growth story that will continue with the shining friendship of the two friends, their crossed love, and the affectionate first love towards their fateful man.

Through the defined relationships of each character by the three actors portraying them, we can get a glimpse of the narrative. Kim Da-mi described, “For Yeong-rae, Jong-hee and Jae-pil are not just simple friends or a first love, but soulmates deeply connected by the soul,” making us realize that these three are precious to each other beyond emotions.

Shin Ye-eun said, “To Jong-hee, Yeong-rae is the one person in the world she can trust, and her entire life. Between them, Jae-pil is a character who stirs her heart just by existing,” hinting at the painful conflict between friendship and first love.

Heo Nam-jun also said, “Yeong-rae is the person who makes Jae-pil shine the most, and Jong-hee was the first special being that approached as the opposite sex in childhood,” implying the subtle relationship intertwined with the two friends.

As the comments from the three actors reveal, the hidden crossed feelings and complex emotional textures within the image make us more curious about the youth records they will write.

The production team stated, “Even though times change, friendship and first love are core keywords representing youth. Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-jun recall those emotions left as nostalgic memories of the ’80s.

Please look forward to their youth narrative coexisting with laughter and tears, excitement and pain. It will be a story like a memory that touches the hearts of viewers who haven’t experienced that era,” they said.

‘A Hundred Memories’ is a work collaborating between hitmaker writer Yang Hee-seung and director Kim Sang-ho. It will premiere on September 13th, Saturday night at 10:40 PM on JTBC as the follow-up to ‘Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Being Lawyers’.
