[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Jung Se-yeon = JTBC’s ‘Hundred Memories’ has released the first still cuts of Shin Ye-eun, who has transformed into an iconic youth of the 1980s.

The piercing gaze and the casual aura of chewing bubble gum reveal the character of a bold, honest youth icon of the era without reserve.

Scheduled to premiere on September 13, JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘Hundred Memories’ (written by Yang Hee-seung and Kim Bo-ram, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by SLL) is a retro youth melodrama that depicts the luminous friendship of Yong-rae and Jong-hee, bus guides of the 100 route in the 1980s, and their first love surrounding their destined man, Jae-pil.

Shin Ye-eun is set to summon the face of 1980s youth by taking on the role of ‘Seo Jong-hee,’ a rookie bus guide who appeared like a comet at Cheong-a Transport.

The still cuts released today (13th) capture Jong-hee’s first appearance at Cheong-a Transport. She instantly captures the attention of those around her with her provocative and lively character, pretty appearance, and popping charm, though this charm can polarize opinions.

Those captivated by her cannot take their eyes off her femme fatale-like presence, while others instinctively feel that ‘Seo Jong-hee is by no means easy.’

Right after joining, even in front of the top power of the Cheong-a Transport guide dormitory, her audacity to blow bubble gum without being intimidated completes Jong-hee’s intense first impression.

The icon that best describes Jong-hee is this bubble gum. It’s not a mere habit, but a symbol of leisure, confidence, and bravery that doesn’t retreat in any situation.

The image of her chewing gum and blowing bubbles whenever she gets a chance is her trademark, showcasing her bold personality and the inner strength that never shrinks even in precarious moments. This little bubble gum encapsulates the way Jong-hee has lived and the stories that will unfold.

Jong-hee, along with Young-rae (Kim Da-mi), works as a 100 route bus guide, writing a chapter of 1980s youth.

The photo released together shows her professional aura, exuding only in a neat uniform and gaze, raising expectations about what kind of activities she will unfold.

The journey of Jong-hee, who does not sway by anyone and opens the way in her style, aligns with the friendship with Young-rae, creating expectant synergy.

The production team said, “Jong-hee, played by Shin Ye-eun, is a multi-faceted character full of provocative aspects with vibrant charm. Her pretty appearance, confident attitude, and her symbol, bubble gum, are perfectly harmonized with Shin Ye-eun’s unique liveliness and charisma, completing Jong-hee. Look forward to the birth of a ‘1980s youth icon’ loved beyond the era.”

On the other hand, ‘Hundred Memories’ is a work brought together by writer Yang Hee-seung, who has delivered life dramas with each work capturing viewers’ emotions with empathy and humor, such as ‘One Hit Scandal’, ‘Once Again’, ‘Familiar Wife’, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’, and ‘Oh My Ghost’, and director Kim Sang-ho, who enhanced immersion with the serene depiction of our lives, happy yet sad and vice versa, in ‘Thirty, Nine.’

Following ‘Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Being Lawyers’, it will premiere on September 13 (Saturday) at 10:40 PM on JTBC.
