Comedians Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun expressed anger over past rumors surrounding them.
On the YouTube channel ‘Rolling Thunder’, Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun discussed the theme of downfall and paradise in the video ‘New Woman’ released on the 12th.
Lee Kyung-sil recalled the divorce period as the most difficult time. She confessed, “At thirty-eight, I felt like my life was over. It seemed like everything was collapsing.”
The rumors circulating after her divorce made it even harder for Lee Kyung-sil.
Lee Kyung-sil said, “After the divorce, there were rumors that didn’t even exist during my marriage. There was a rumor that I was involved with an entertainment CEO, and I was buying luxury goods with a corporate card given by him.” She added, “I once cried my eyes out telling a journalist trying to verify the facts that I never even got a point card from my ex-husband.”
Lee Kyung-sil joked, “I’m grateful that they linked me with wealthy people,” laughing it off and remarked, “Mind your own business.”

The rumors that troubled Jo Hye-ryun were even more shocking.
Jo Hye-ryun revealed, “There was talk that I was a pimp. My acquaintance heard it and went around explaining that I was not that kind of person.”
Jo Hye-ryun said, “When things got tough, I overcame it by studying languages or pouring energy into something else,” laughing it off coolly.
Lee Kyung-sil also added, “Jo Hye-ryun lives her life busily and doesn’t listen much to what others say.”
Jo Hye-ryun candidly shared the humiliation and skepticism she experienced when she moved to Japan during her prime to start anew as a rookie and achieve her dream of serious acting.

Jo Hye-ryun especially admitted her regret for leaving ‘Reckless Challenge’, the predecessor to ‘Infinite Challenge’.
Lee Kyung-sil said, “When facing difficult times, you shouldn’t just keep dwelling on the past. Going through such hardships eventually leads to good things,” and “I want to commend myself for not going astray and overcoming difficult times well.”
Jo Hye-ryun also added, “I am grateful to my parents for bringing me into this world as someone who can bring laughter to people.”
