‘The Cowherd and the Fairy’ Kim Sung-jung, 180-degree transformation from a delinquent to a pure-hearted man

In the tvN Mon-Tue drama ‘Kyunwoo and the Fairy’ (Director Kim Yong-wan, Writer Yang Ji-hoon, Planning CJ ENM, Production Studio Dragon·Dexter Pictures·Io Contents Group) broadcasted on the 14th and 15th, Kim Seong-jeong portrayed Kim Jin-woong, depicting his transformation from a delinquent to a pure-hearted man in a three-dimensional manner. 

During the broadcast, it was revealed that the dog Boki was the one Jin-woong used to raise. After coming to his senses, Jin-woong noticed that Seong-ah (played by Jo Yi-hyun) knew about Boki and pressed her for answers.

In this process, Jin-woong displayed a coercive attitude, creating tension, and even had a brief nerve-wracking confrontation with Kyunwoo (played by Chu Young-woo) who tried to stop him. However, Jin-woong quickly backed down in response to Seong-ah’s firm reaction, showing a clearly changed demeanor. 

In episode 8 that followed, he reminisced on Seong-ah’s words and missed Boki, leading him to discover Doyeon (played by Kim Min-ju) who looked remarkably like the dog in the photo.

From then on, Jin-woong stayed by Doyeon’s side, looking at her with loving eyes, and when Doyeon struggled with the smell of cigarettes, he promptly disposed of his cigarettes.

Moreover, he threatened those around him by saying, “If you smoke, you’re all dead!” showcasing the emotions of youth suddenly in love, bringing laughter to the viewers. 

Kim Seong-jeong, who naturally conveys the character’s emotions and forms a three-dimensional character in each episode, appears in the tvN Mon-Tue drama ‘Kyunwoo and the Fairy’, which airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.

On the other hand, Kim Seong-jeong left a strong impression on the public by appearing as a gang member of Geum Sung-je (played by Lee Jun-young) in the Netflix original series ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, after debuting in the musical ‘Hadestown’ in 2021.
