Gill (real name Gil Seong-jun, 47) from the hip-hop duo LeeSSang shared an update on his 7-year-old son.

On the 16th, Gill posted a photo of his son, Ha-eum, participating in an international genius competition on social media (SNS) along with a short message, “Impressive, 2nd place.”

In the released photo, Ha-eum is posing in a tuxedo in front of the competition banner. Along with this, Gill also shared images of Ha-eum playing the piano on stage.

The following video captured Ha-eum receiving his competition results. Addressing Ha-eum who wore a calm expression, Gill said, “You were 2nd out of all these people,” unable to hide his joy.

In 2018, Gill and his wife, Choi Bo-reum, who is ten years younger, had their son, Ha-eum. In 2020, he appeared on Channel A’s variety show ‘Dad’s True Color,’ revealing his wife and son for the first time and resolved to start anew.

Debuting in 2002 with rapper Gary (real name Kang Hee-gun, 47) as LeeSSang, Gill was active in both the music and broadcasting industry and gained popularity. Particularly, from 2009, he joined MBC’s variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’ as a regular cast member and enjoyed five years of his prime.

However, in 2014, he was caught driving under the influence, received a license revocation, and had to leave Infinite Challenge amid harsh criticism from fans.

Later in 2016, he returned to broadcasting as a producer for the Mnet survival audition show ‘Show Me The Money 5,’ but was caught again for drunk driving the following year. Information surfaced that he had previously been caught for DUI in 2004, further worsening public opinion.

Eventually, the prosecution charged Gill, who was caught for drunk driving for the third time in his life, with violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving). The Seoul Central District Court acknowledged the charges and sentenced him to six months in prison with a two-year probation, along with 80 hours of community service.
