Actor Cha Tae-hyun (49) shared an anecdote from last year where he was asked for an ID check.

On the web entertainment show ‘Salon Drip 2’, released through the YouTube channel ‘Theo’ on the 27th, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Jong-min, and Lee Joon, who appeared together on ‘Earth Marbles World Tour 3’, were featured.

Lee Joon shared his update that he was taking on a musical for the first time through the musical ‘Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight’, saying, “It’s a high school student role, but I’m so 38 years old,” expressing concern.

In response, MC Jang Do-yeon said, “There’s a good senior in school uniform next to you. The oldest actor in a school uniform in our country,” pointing to Cha Tae-hyun. Cha Tae-hyun made headlines for playing a student role without a stand-in at the age of 47 in the Disney Plus (Disney+) drama ‘Moving’.

Cha Tae-hyun said, “I thought I was going to die. It was so absurd. I read the script and assumed they’d use a child actor,” and recalled, “They used child actors for the rest, but they asked me to match the wig and do it myself.”

He continued, “When I went to the shoot, the kids next to me were real high school students. Anyone could see I was a parent,” he exclaimed, bringing laughter.

Furthermore, Cha Tae-hyun revealed that he had an ID check last year, which surprised everyone.

He explained that while running an errand to buy alcohol for his wife, he went to a convenience store wearing a mask and was asked for an ID check, saying, “It wasn’t about being good or bad; it was just funny.”
