On May 13th, a video titled ‘Hello, this is Shubly Mom. I have something to say’ was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘Hot Issue Jee’. In the video, Suji Lee appeared as her alter ego ‘Shubly Mom’, with a white-powdered face and dressed in black.
Suji stated, “Many misunderstandings and rumors during the group purchase process caused harm to my loved ones,” and “I determined that silence is no longer the answer.” She continued, “I sincerely apologize to those disappointed. I humbly accept all criticisms and admonishments,” bowing her head.

Throughout the video, Shubly Mom wittily responded to sharp questions from viewers in a parody format. Responding to criticisms like “Isn’t pounding rice cakes with Grandma Kim Duke-mae until 2 a.m. elder abuse?”, “What’s with handmade rice cakes being made in a factory?”, “Said it’s local but included Japanese pumpkin”, she replied, “I sincerely reflect on those controversies.”
There were also moments shining with Suji’s unique black comedy. In the midst of apologies, she humorously responded to live comments by saying “I’ll give you this dress information via DM,” and unexpectedly promoted apple cider vinegar, eliciting laughter.
