Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee team up in the horror movie ‘Wonjeong Villa’, coming this winter.
The distributor Smile ENT confirmed the December release of ‘Wonjeong Villa’ and unveiled the launch poster on the 5th.
‘Wonjeong Villa’ is a realistic horror movie that tells the story of a young man trying to protect his family from unsettling neighbors in an old villa in the suburbs after an illegal flyer is distributed.
It deals with eerie urban myths following the world’s 7 major psychiatric hospitals, Korea’s top 3 haunted houses, and Subway Oxusu Station. ‘Wonjeong Villa’, which was invited to the Korean Fantastic Feature section of the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and sold out every screening, raises expectations with a fierce performance battle of fear by actors Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee, who meet as neighbors in the old villa.
Director Kim Sun-guk, responsible for the script and direction, is a director who has honed solid skills through numerous short films and will deliver suffocating horror and madness directly through the screen in this work. The launch poster, released along with the confirmation of the December release, conveys eeriness with the appearance of an old villa that could likely be somewhere in the suburbs.
Amidst the dark windows, Room 303 shining uniquely, the eerie worn-out exterior walls, and the ominous red X mark catching the eye, the copy “Never visit this place” raises curiosity about what might be happening there. ‘Wonjeong Villa’ will be released this December.
