Broadcaster Kang Joo-eun (55) shared the story behind her husband, actor Choi Min-soo (62), making a surprise appearance on home shopping live broadcast in the past.
On the 21st, the YouTube video ‘Jjanhanyeong Shin Dong-yeop’ featured Kang Joo-eun and actor Choi Jin-hyuk as guest appearances. ‘Jjanhanyeong Shin Dong-yeop’ is a web entertainment channel hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop.
The video studio featured a standee of Kang Joo-eun’s husband, Choi Min-soo, bringing laughter.
Kang Joo-eun brought up the anecdote of Choi Min-soo showing up at her home shopping live broadcast. Kang Joo-eun is the show host of CJ Onstyle’s home shopping program ‘Kang Joo-eun’s Good Life’.
Kang Joo-eun mentioned, “There are security guards at the broadcasting station, and shouldn’t they be doing their security work?” and added, “There are people who should be allowed in and those who shouldn’t, but (Choi Min-soo) easily got in.”
Shin Dong-yeop laughed and responded, “Choi Min-soo came, so why would anyone suspect?”
Kang Joo-eun said, “I was doing a live broadcast in the studio, and from afar, a man was watching the (shooting scene).”
Kang Joo-eun described, “It seemed like (the man) just woke up. The back of his head was standing up,” revealing the person was Choi Min-soo.
Explaining why Choi Min-soo suddenly appeared, Kang Joo-eun said, “(Choi Min-soo) said he was curious about what a home shopping studio was like.”
Kang Joo-eun added, “I was holding a product and explaining it when (Choi Min-soo) came and sat next to me,” and revealed, “Every curse imaginable came to my mind,” causing laughter.
Kang Joo-eun said she smoothly handled the situation by using her quick wit.
She added, “I couldn’t curse at (Choi Min-soo) so I kept smiling,” and revealed that she used Choi Min-soo to promote the product instead.
When Choi Jin-hyuk complimented Kang Joo-eun by saying, “Your sense is amazing,” Kang Joo-eun explained that it was the responsibility that brought out her quick thinking.
Kang Joo-eun confessed, “(In home shopping) every second counts towards sales, and because my husband was there, I felt sorry for the production team.”
She continued, “I got through the situation well at that time, but (Choi Min-soo) can never enter again now. He’s completely blacklisted,” and she smiled.
Kang Joo-eun, who was Miss Korea Canada in 1993, has been continuing her activities, such as operating the YouTube channel ‘Kkangjoo-eun’ recently.
