
[ Asia Economy ] SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM) announced on the 4th that the exclusive contract with group Red Velvet members Wendy (real name Son Seung-wan) and Yeri (real name Kim Ye-rim) has ended.
On this day, SM announced, “Wendy and Yeri are planning to continue group activities as Red Velvet.”
They continued, “The time spent with Wendy and Yeri, who debuted as Red Velvet and have been active as solo artists in various fields, was a great happiness,” adding, “We will support their new beginnings.”
Also, “Please show warm interest in the future paths of the two members who are starting new challenges in their respective positions,” they requested.
The five-member female group Red Velvet, debuting in 2014, has released and promoted songs like ‘Ice Cream Cake,’ ‘Russian Roulette,’ ‘Peek-a-Boo,’ and ‘Rookie.’
