Group BTS (BTS) J-Hope and Suga have joined in efforts to support wildfire damage recovery. On the 27th, their agency BigHit Music announced that J-Hope and Suga donated funds to aid wildfire damage in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam areas.

Through their agency, they expressed, “We hope the prolonged wildfire situation comes to an end soon.

We wish for those who have lost their homes and are facing difficulties, as well as all those working tirelessly on extinguishing efforts, to return to their peaceful daily lives quickly.

We hope this donation provides some comfort and hope.” J-Hope has donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.

The funds will be utilized for emergency disaster relief, community recovery post-disaster, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters.

Previously, J-Hope also donated towards flood relief funds in 2023 and provided financial support to families of victims in an airplane accident.

Suga donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross.

The donation will be used to provide necessary food and daily supplies to residents affected by the wildfires.

Previously, Suga had also donated 100 million won in 2022 to help neighbors affected by wildfires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon. The group BTS has been actively engaging in various charitable activities for approximately eight years since 2017.

Together with their agency BigHit Music, they conduct the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign, which spreads the message of self-love and the eradication of violence.

BTS’s official fan club ARMY (Ami. fandom name) is also continuously practicing sharing to help children and youth from vulnerable groups, creating a beautiful virtuous cycle. Reporter Park Se-Yeon psyon@edaily.co.kr
