MCN company Soonent (CEO Park Chang-woo) has merged with actor management company Yejin Entertainment in pursuit of becoming a comprehensive platform company.
Only the actors and staff from Yejin Entertainment are being acquired, and they plan to create synergy in a new entertainment business that combines the strengths of both companies. This merger aims to expand new business areas between the two companies.

Specifically, they plan to actively use Yejin Entertainment’s know-how, which has run an actor management business for over 20 years, in the distribution platform for short dramas, ‘Shuk,’ scheduled to launch in the latter half of the year.
Furthermore, they aim to recruit major artists active domestically to operate and plan music projects, and concerts. A representative from Soonent said, “Our goal is to grow into a comprehensive platform company, and through this business integration, we hope to present and prove a new paradigm in the entertainment industry,” adding, “Both actors and creators have now been given a chance to create new challenges and collaborations, focusing particularly on utilizing the various platforms managed by Soonent such as commerce, music matching, drama distribution.” Meanwhile, Yejin Entertainment boasts a line-up of seasoned veteran and rising rookie actors like Lee Bon, Cho Young-jin, Kim Nan-hee, Ha Dong-jun, Kim Young-hoon, Chun Myung-woo, Kim Gun-ho, Kang Ji-woon, Kwon Oh-soo, Woo Tae-ha, Kim Ho-yoon, and Lee Jin-na.
