Netflix, having tasted success with the variety show genre through ‘Black & White Chef: Culinary Class War’, is introducing a new variety show. According to the industry on the 9th, Netflix plans to launch a new variety show ‘Try Try’ (working title) at the end of February.
‘Try Try’ is a talk variety featuring mixed martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon as the main star, with the purpose of exploring guests.
Each week, a new guest will be invited, and comedian Lee Chang-ho is reported to have confirmed his appearance as a fixed panelist. This variety show is particularly noteworthy as Netflix has introduced a new format.
‘Try Try’ will be in a ‘mid-form’ style, with each episode being less than 30 minutes, and will be recorded and released once a week.
Unlike previous Netflix styles of producing and releasing all episodes at once, this is similar to network weekly variety shows.
