100 ‘Fated to Meet’ Lee Kwang-soo “Pathetic and petty… Dreaming of being a villain came true”

Lee Kwang-soo announced a transformation into a villain role. On the morning of the 31st, at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul, a production presentation for the Netflix original series ‘Bad Connection’ was held.

Director Lee Il-hyung attended the event along with actors Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-ah, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon. Lee Kwang-soo introduced the character Ahn Kyung-nam, whom he played, saying, “He is a successful oriental medicine doctor but gets into an accident while driving with his girlfriend.

Trying to cover up the accident, he falls into a ‘bad connection.’” He continued, “After that incident, I wanted to express well the process of ‘Ahn Kyung-nam’ becoming increasingly desperate and mean.

In extreme situations, I tried to express the pettiness the character holds,” and conveyed his confident aspiration saying, “You will be able to see a change in my acting.” Additionally, Lee Kwang-soo expressed satisfaction by saying, “I’ve been saying I wanted to play a villain for a long time.

In a way, through ‘Bad Connection,’ it seems like I’ve truly achieved that dream, so I thank the director.” Meanwhile, ‘Bad Connection’ is a crime thriller depicting the intertwined stories of six people who can’t escape their fateful connection, based on the popular webtoon of the same name (by writer Choi Hee-sun).
