[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Kim Ye-eun = KBS2’s ‘The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ featured Song Jeong-hoon, who appeared as the ‘Sexy Hot Cupbab Boss’ from Utah, USA, charming viewers with his delightful energy, now capturing hearts with a sweet and considerate side this week.
In the 313th episode of KBS2’s entertainment show ‘The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ (directed by Ahn Sang-eun, hereinafter referred to as ‘Boss Donkey’), which aired on the 6th (Sunday), Song Jeong-hoon, who left a strong impression as the ‘overseas new boss’ dominating the global dining industry with cupbab, transformed into a ‘sweet daddy’ taking care of breakfast and school lunches for his five children, drawing attention.
The boss Song Jeong-hoon, boasting an annual sales of 60 billion KRW, made headlines by revealing his home for the first time through ‘Boss Donkey’. The house, equipped with a gym, cinema, dressing room, library, was home to his five children, who resembled Song Jeong-hoon closely.
As soon as Song Jeong-hoon wakes up early in the morning, he showcased his loving father side by preparing breakfast and cupbab for the children’s lunch boxes.
While having a meal, he exchanged conversations with the children by making eye contact and drove them to school himself, contrasting with the ‘sexy hot boss’ image, and amplifying the emotions.
Particularly, while forming a musical bond with his teenage second daughter in the car on their way to school, Song Jeong-hoon said, “The time driving to school is the most precious time of the day for me,” adding to his charm.
Once the children were off to school, Song Jeong-hoon switched back to being a ‘passionate boss’ fully charged with energy.
He visited a public high school in Utah to continue a 13-year long event for students and teachers.
Explaining the reason for organizing many school events, he said, “Students are still open to unfamiliar cultures, and memories of foods eaten in childhood can last a lifetime. Students are also a consumer base that can influence parents.”
The event was also attended by influencer James Seo, who is extremely popular in Utah, drawing a hot reaction from students.
Song Jeong-hoon, who usually showcases high recognition in Utah, expressed cute jealousy by saying, “I won’t hold events with him anymore,” after hearing a different level of cheers for James Seo, drawing laughter.
He visited the school where his eldest son and second daughter attend, highlighting the appearance of the eldest son’s girlfriend, which garnered attention.
Song Jeong-hoon showed some disappointment seeing his son’s constant smile in front of his girlfriend. In response, Jeon Hyun-moo sincerely advised, “Think about our younger days, who would still want to nuzzle faces with dad?” and added, “Let your son go now.”
The event concluded successfully with various activities such as a ramen eating contest and gift presentations, and special MC Noh Hee-young expressed genuine support, saying, “I think it’s remarkable for an individual to accomplish something that even companies find difficult.”
Meanwhile, Chef Jeong Ho-young, who declared himself to be ‘Jeong Ho-guk’ in June, the ‘Month of Veterans’, presented special menus at the ‘Korea Memorial Food Festa’ hosted by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Jeong Ho-young’s students stepped up to assist, adding meaning to the day’s event.
However, while preparing about 500 servings of flat tofu noodles, they humorously commented, “Honestly, I came here to see Chef Choi Hyun-suk” and “If Chef Choi Hyun-suk comes, I’ll run out of the kitchen,” eliciting laughter.
Jeong Ho-young drew laughter with his fierce gaze directed at Chefs Choi Hyun-suk and Jeong Jiseon, who were also invited to the event. When Choi Hyun-suk was announced to conduct a special cooking show at the opening ceremony, Jeong Ho-young actively appealed to the on-site staff, saying he could also conduct a cooking show.
Eventually, Jeong Ho-young’s impromptu cooking show, which he volunteered for, succeeded. He showcased various performances, such as thinly slicing radish to create chrysanthemum flowers, alongside special menus, but received limited response due to rain.
At that time, he discovered trot singer Jeon Yoo-jin preparing and invited her to the cooking show stage to serve food. Jeon Yoo-jin complimented, saying, “This is the perfect food for the rainy weather now,” giving a thumbs up, and Jeong Ho-young’s cooking show in the rain also ended successfully.
Preparing to open a restaurant in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, a place frequented by foreigners, Lee Soon-sil drew attention as she tackled mastering English. Visiting an English kindergarten run by an acquaintance, Lee Soon-sil was surprised by the immediate English level test.
Unable to answer basic questions and even pointing out that the native speaker’s pronunciation was wrong, effectively declaring her surrender, surprised everyone. Lee Soon-sil’s English proficiency, diagnosed by the native teacher, was at the “two-year-old” level. Regarding this, Park Myung-soo responded, “That’s gracious scoring,” drawing laughter.
Joining the children in English studies, Lee Soon-sil was astonished by the children’s unexpectedly fluent English skills. When the children introduced themselves, Lee Soon-sil said, “I want an English name too. Do I look more like Jennie of BLACKPINK or Jang Won-young of IVE?” turning the studio upside down.
Ultimately, Lee Soon-sil’s name was decided as ‘Jennie’, to which Jeon Hyun-moo responded, “Is it Jennie or a big sinner?” causing much laughter.
After the broadcast, various communities and SNS were filled with responses like “Amazing that Boss Song Jeong-hoon has five kids,” “Boss Song Jeong-hoon’s house in Utah is incredible,” “It’s heartwarming how Boss Song Jeong-hoon takes care of everything from his children’s meals to their commute”,
“Chef Jeong Ho-young’s chrysanthemum made from radish is truly meaningful and wonderful,” “Chef Jeong Ho-young’s flat tofu stir fry looks delicious,” “Thanks to Chef Jeong Ho-young, a precious food broadcasting video of Yoojin is created,” “Fight on for Boss Soon-sil’s English studies” and more heated reactions continued.
Meanwhile, ‘The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ airs every Sunday at 4:40 PM on KBS 2TV.
